*New Multi-Page Tif format:

To set preferences in Tif Surfer to display thumbnail images, click on the button to bring up dialog box and check "Load Thumbnails on Start Up." The button toggles thumbnails on and off and the buttons display next and previous pages of the Plat. *

Note: When printing a multi-page image, unless you want to print all the pages of a plat, you must specify the page numbers desired in the print dialog.

Search Page Descriptions:

Survey Index: Index of surveys on file in County Surveyor Office. A taxmap image with colored survey boundaries and CS Number (County Survey Index Number) Helpful in finding surveys by taxlot location

Surveys: Includes all surveys on file (boundary, lot line adj, subs, partitions, condos, replats)

Corner Restorations: Oregon Corner Restoration Records. Information on found and renewed section corners in Deschutes County

Subdivisions Subdivision Plats and surveys within subdivisions

Partitions Land Partition Plats

Assessors Maps: Assessors Taxlot Maps

General Land Office: GLO Township Surveys and Supplemental Plats

Surveyor Directory: List of Surveyors names and license numbers

Navigation and Viewing:

Navigation: To navigate to a search page from the Main Menu, simply click on the button. Once a search has been completed, the query results are listed on the lower half of the search page.

View: To view the image, click on the blue highlighted text in the filename column. This will bring up the image in a new window, thus covering up the search page. To perform another search or open another image, you will have to close, resize, or minimize the window with the image displayed to get back to the search page (or use alt+tab). Navigating between main menu and search pages is done in one window.

Search Fields:

Note: The percent character " % " is the wild card and can be inserted in search fields. It is especially helpful when searching by subdivision name. Example: "% Eagle" brings up a list of all subdivisions that contain "Eagle" in their name.

Township - 2 digit number - example: "17", townships range from  "14" through  "22"

Range - 2 digit number - example: "12" , ranges from "06" through "23"

Section - 2 digit number - example: "34" , sections from "01" through "36"

Quarter - 1 character, either "A", "B", "C" or "D",  equals 1/4 of a section

Surveyor - Surveyor License Number - examples:  "0632E" or "0702"

Mapname - TaxMap name - example: "171234AB"  Supplemental TaxMaps include the map number - example: "171234CD Supplemental Map No. 1" is named "171234CD01"

CSNUM - 5 digit number, County Survey Index Number - example: "12345"

Lot Line No. - Lot line Adjustment number assigned at recording time - example: "01-010" Use the wildcard (%) preceding the lot line # because the field sometimes contains more than one number. Not all surveys with lot line adjustments have a lot line adjustment number assigned.

Date: From/To - examples that work: m-d-yy, mm-dd-yyyy, m-yy - "2-9-99" or "10-31-2000" or "2-90"

OCRR - 4 digit number, OCRR File Number - example "0735"

Subdivision - Plat Name - example: "%Ponderosa" searches all plats that contain Ponderosa in their name

Plat Number - Clerk's recorded Partition Plat Number - example: "2000-30"

Prelim ID - Planner's preliminary Plat Number - example: "MP 98-296"

Description - GLO searches examples:  "supplemental plat" or "sections 01 thru 36"
